Even melting, good quality, and easy to use!
After having owned another paraffin wax machine, I can honestly say that this one is my favorite! With that said, it is important to buy this machine with clear expectations. The wax that comes with the machine is just enough to get you started and isn’t meant to last for an extended period. Also, it does not heat to unsafe levels, so plan to wait a while before applying the wax (starting the machine in advance is an easy solution for this).The wax that ships with this machine has a pleasant scent and melts easily. The machine itself is very easy and intuitive to use, and I can’t imagine that anyone will have trouble learning how to use it. It also arrives packaged very well (as you can see in my attached picture) and everything is well-protected as a result. It is very comparable in price to similar products, so it is fair to say that it provides decent value as well! Overall, this is a very solid product and I recommend it!

Instructions vague and somewhat confusing – see mine
This wax melting machine works great and comes with everything you need to use it once or twice (depending on how much you’re doing – just hands, just feet, or all). You’ll have to buy more wax eventually. It takes a long time to figure out how to use it the first time because the instructions are vague and somewhat confusing. First you want to take everything out of the box and make sure the warmer is empty. Then plug it in and press the power button and then increase (with the plus sign) the temperature up to 212 degrees. Then cut open probably 2 waxes. Note: the wax that comes with this are lavender and have a strong scent that lingers (it’s not a bad scent – just strong so it will stick around). Or you can purchase some unscented wax ahead of time. Drop the opened wax blocks into the warmer and cover. It’s going to take a while for them to melt – about an hour probably. Once they’re melted, turn the temperature down to 122 degrees and wait until it cools down to that temperature. Then put the plastic grid in the warmer at the bottom and dip one hand or foot at a time into the wax, wait 3 seconds, pull your hand/foot out up over the wax, wait 3 seconds, then repeat that 4 or 5 times. You can then do the other hand/foot or wait and do each one individually. If you’re doing your own hands, then I suggest doing one at a time because you’ll need a free hand during the whole process. Then cover the wax covered hand/foot with a plastic liner and then put your covered plastic liner hand/foot into a bootie or mitt. Wait 15 minutes then remove the mitt/bootie and liner and peel off the wax from top to bottom (from wrist or ankle down). When you’re done you can unplug the warmer. The rest of the wax can be used again next time. I’m assuming you just leave the wax in there. I haven’t found any guidance as to what to do with it. And I don’t know how to best clean the grid but if you’re going to use the wax again, then leave it in there. If not, now would be the time to remove it. I guess you’ll have to let that cool and then take the wax off of it that way – scrape it or something. As for cleaning the warmer, I THINK you just let it cool completely then heat it up lightly – just enough to pull the wax out.Paraffin wax treatments feel great and soften your hands and feet. I recommend this highly – just make sure you have time to do it – at least an hour and a half. You’ll just need to be able to start it, do something for an hour then cool it down some, then take another 20 minutes to soak your hands and so forth.These warmers aren’t cheap but this whole kit is worth it at about $50. You’ll pay that and more if you get a pedicure somewhere. It pays for itself eventually.

Slow heating
This is a really nice paraffin starter set. I ordered it for my own personal use since both myself and my daughter do our own nails. It comes with a tamper proof seal which in my case wasn’t sealed very well, but everything still appeared to be clean and new. Each item was individually wrapped. The wax was double wrapped to help protect from any leakage. I really liked the addition of the terry cloth hand and foot wraps to help maintain the temperature better than the plastic bags alone. It seems like a solidly built unit. I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t last for years.The downside I did not realize when ordering is that it takes at least an hour to heat the wax. I do spend a fair amount of time on my nails since I have to remove the gel before I start my manicure, but it isn’t an hour. I would have to plan ahead and heat this up before I started so that it would be ready when I get to that step. That isn’t really reasonable for my schedule most of the time.I think this would be ideally suited to a small salon or single suite use where it can be turned on in the morning. The size is perfect for hands if you want to dip directly. Or ideally you can scoop it into the bags so that it stays sanitary. The base unit won’t take up much counter space. Paraffin does leave your hands feeling so soft afterwards so I think it’s worth it if you can figure out how to work in the limitations of the heating time frame.
