Using tips

Maximize the benefits of heat by applying more layers of paraffin. The more layers of paraffin you apply, the longer the heat will last. We recommend 10 to 15 layers. Prolong the effect by using the plastic liners and warm gloves or boots (for hands and feet).

For very dry, cracked skin

When using the paraffin for dry, cracked skin apply a light coat of moisturizing cream prior to dipping. Rub additional lotion into cuticles and dry areas. Apply additional lotion after the paraffin bath too.

How does paraffin wax work?

Paraffin wax has a very high heat capacity, which means it can absorb and retain a great amount of heat. A paraffin wax spa takes advantage of paraffin’s heat-retaining capacity in a simple process called heat transfer.

Can I reuse the paraffin?

We do not recommend reusing paraffin that has been removed from the skin. Used paraffin contains, sweat, dry skin, etc. that was on the surface of the skin. This will build up over time on the bottom of the unit over time and will require more cleanings of the bath.
