I had an OG Chi flat iron for about 10 years and it finally died. I was skeptical to try a newer model because I feel that things are just not made the same. Let me prep it by saying the only time I use my flat iron is when I’m running late for work lol. This flat iron is awesome! It heats up so fast! It even has different settings for the types of hair. I have coarse hair and this flat iron leaves my hair so silky and smooth all day and no frizz. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Love this hair straightener. The temp control and digital temp is sooo nice. Heats up really quickly and beeps once preheated. Smooths hair great. Upgraded from an OLD chi model that had no temp control and am sooo pleased with the new straightener

Good flat iron
I have used my old Remington flat iron for 2 years and it died on me. I used my friends CHI on vacation and was impressed by the quality, hers is 5-6 years old. CHI was recommended me to by several friends because of the quality and long lasting use. I love that this flat iron is dual voltage for travel. I ordered the CHI original and CHI G2 To compare, the only difference I noticed is the G2 has an 11 ft cord and the original has a 6.. I prefer the shorter cord. Also the G2 has color coded settings which I don’t believe is necessary- it’s just a selling point. Both flat irons heat up fast and work great however I chose to keep the original because it is a ceramic plate which is less damaging to hair over time. The G2 has titanium infused plates which can be drying and damaging to hair. My one complaint would be that I wish it had a lock feature for storage. I did reorder this on target because it was $50 cheaper… Overall I am happy with the CHI and looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it!

You really cannot go wrong with CHI. I had another brand that I was using and it pulled my hair and you couldn’t clean the build up off and I broke down and said enough! I love that this straightener has heat settings by hair type or you can manually set the temperature. It is hot and good to go in 40 seconds with a cute little beep to tell you it is ready. The plates are ceramic plated and after weeks of use, it has not pulled my hair once leaving my hair protected. I have plenty of coverage with the 1.5 inch width. CHI makes products of good construction and they always work as they say they will. The cord is a littler longer than traditional straighteners and I actually appreciate that because we all multitask while we get dressed.
