Gentle and Effective for Sensitive Skin
I’ve been using this Dove Sensitive deodorant for a couple of weeks and I’m happy with it overall. It’s gentle on my skin and doesn’t cause any itching or burning, which is important for me. The scent is mild and clean. While I’m not sure it lasts a full 72 hours, it does keep me feeling fresh throughout the day. I’d recommend it, especially if you’re sensitive to stronger deodorants.

Does not stain clothing. No sickly sweet or chemical smell; In fact, no real smell at all. Does not prevent sweat, but somehow it does keep any unpleasant odor from forming. This will typically work for about 12 hours, so it’s not a game-changer, but it’s effective in small spurts. The stick is easy-glide, and it doesn’t leave any type of sticky or uncomfortable residue. It doesn’t really dry quickly, but if you rub it in well, the moisture left is minimal. I tried it as a control on one part that typically gets very hot/sweaty/smelly during vigorous activity and nothing on another, then went out and did yard work for 8 hours. There was a very minimal smell on the parts I used this on, and the smell was more of that musky sweat smell than the typical “BO” smell. It’s also gentle and non-irritating on women’s skin. The only reason for the star off is that it’s a bit more expensive than other options at this minimal level of protection (no decrease in sweat volume and not very long-lasting). You’re essentially paying a premium for the “aluminum-free” label, with nothing substituted to bring the efficacy back to standard.

Works well and feels great
I’m really impressed with this Dove deodorant. I love that it’s aluminum free – that is a must for me – and it does last a long time… I shower every day but I could believe it would last longer, maybe even the 72 hours they claim. I feel fresh all day wearing it and the soft floral scent is light and refreshing without being overpowering. I’m a guy but I like the way it makes me smell!It’s also really soft on my skin, which I’ve come to expect from Dove. I don’t know much about the recipe (they say it’s free from baking soda and parabens) but whatever they’re doing works. I haven’t experienced any irritation and my skin feels soft and great as if I was wearing nothing at all! Definitely recommend it as an ideal choice if you’re looking for a clean, great value deodorant that doesn’t sacrifice performance!
