Does it make the task of cleaning brushes easier? Yes. Just not the way I expected it toThis device is easy to use but I find manually circulating the brushes by hand works better than electronically, which is a major disappointment. I wish the whole bottom circulated instead of just the middle piece. It also doesn’t fit all sizes of brushes despite the claims that it does. I find I rarely use the top since the brushes shift and end up grinding against the circulating middle piece.It is nice to have a stable vessel to hold the water while circulating the brushes so that is at least a plus.I used to use one of the silicone brush mats that suction cup to the sink before buying this so it’s definitely made the brush cleaning task easier – just not the way I expected it to …

Easy, Effective Brush Cleaner That Saves Time
This makeup brush cleaner did a good job on my brushes and saved me time compared to washing them by hand. Cleaning brushes no longer a chore…
I am surprised how much of a game changer this has been for me. At first I thought, “I’m fine manually washing my make-up brushes… do I really need an electric brush cleaner?”. Well, it turns out that, yes, I do. It’s made me realize how much of a dreaded chore washing make-up brushes by hand was for me. This little machine couldn’t make it easier and I wash my brushes way more frequently now – which is just better for my skin and make-up application. The timer makes it so you can just set it and walk away. I love it!Tips for use:The silicone tip can be finicky getting your brushes in. You probably need to use larger slots than you think, especially if you have tapered handles, because you need to push the brushes in like 1/3 to 1/2 way to fit in the machine. It’s fine if the brush is slightly loose. For tiny brushes, I stick two together. The oblong, long thin slot seems to hold the largest handles (rather than the large hexagon hole).I actually run it three times:1. A first “mini” wash just to get the main make-up residue off2. I dump that wash water and refill so they aren’t swilling in super dirty water, then send the through a second, long wash.3. A last, only water rinse.4. Then, squeeze brush heads with paper towels and run a last time without water as a “drying cycle”The drying cycle (I run for 15 min) actually gets them like 80-90% dry. WAY faster than air drying!!

Makes tedious task easier
I’ve always been terrible about cleaning my makeup brushes. It’s a chore I’ve dread and I know I don’t do it often enough. This Suteng electric makeup brush cleaner has turned that time consuming chore into an easy, effortless task.The machines is cordless and requires no assembly. I simply add water and my cleaning solution, pop my brushes in the slots and select a timer setting. It gives me choices of 5 minutes, 10 minutes or 15 minutes to fit different levels of cleaning needs. I typically use the 5 minute setting for my daily powder brushes and the 10-15 minute setting for foundation brushes.The design of the silicone lid makes it so that I can wash multiple brushes at the same time which is a huge time saver. It fits almost all my standard sized brushes and it gently cleans them without damaging the brush shapes.All in all, if you want a simple and automatic way to keep your brushes hygienic and prevent skin problems, I suggest checking this out. I would recommend this automatic makeup brush cleaner to anyone who hates the chore of manually washing brushes.

Better for rinsing than washing, and probably won’t last long
I’ve decided this makeup brush cleaner is best used for rinsing soap from brushes after manually cleaning them than for cleaning itself. I do really like that you can “clean” multiple brushes at once, but it just doesn’t clean them well. Powder cleans ok, but liquid makeup products don’t at all. It’s actually faster to wash the brushes by hand and then run a 5-min cycle to thoroughly rinse them. Longer than that is pretty useless because you’re just “washing” them with dirty makeup water or in my case soapy water after that point. I do really like that this is rechargeable – I’ve gotten multiple 5-min uses right out of the box, and it’s so much easier to fill, dump, and reuse this without needing to plug in or unplug any kind of cord. One thing I would keep in mind is that I don’t think this will last long. You can see from my photo that water seems to be leaking into the internal housing, which I assume over time will make it start to mold/smell or just stop working. The water looks “flat” like it’s between two plastic pieces in several parts of the basin, and because it looks normal on the surface of other parts of the basin, I think that has to mean there’s infiltration that will cause a problem eventually.
