I bought an Epilady classic model about 30 years ago and never could figure out how to get the coil to pick up my hair. Well this style of epilator is easy to figure out! I can start by saying I bought this knowing I would not have smooth “just like shaving” results as it takes multiple treatments so time and patience is needed. This style of hair removal is best for those who want to remove visible hair but don’t mind their legs feeling like there’s a little stubble. I decided to start during the winter so my legs are ready by summer.My first use was a bit painful as the spinning disks pluck a lot of hairs, but each area gets numb after a minute. I was suprized at how much hair it removed. I am now up to my 4th treatment and this time it was not painful at all and my legs are visibly free of hair. I have allowed about a week between treatments but waited two weeks this time because the longer the hair, the easier it is to remove. I used this on my arms and as I never shave them all of my hair was 90% gone the first use. I’ve also used this on my face on my jawline and upper lip and it worked like a charm as well.I chose this epilator because Epilady has been around for decades and the L5 is the latest and greatest at the time of this review, having the most “tweezers” in one row. I wanted something rechargable so I didn’t have to mess with a cord while using it and didn’t care to use it wet either, my hair is light in color and it helps seeing my hairs being in a well lit area.I admit I am a bit concerned as a few reviewers (per my research) complained of the battery life being poor and not holding a charge over time, so I registered it with Epilady to ensure the one year warranty. If I get a year out of it I will be happy because the cost of this is equivalent to getting my legs waxed just once.

I have been using Epilady epilator since the early 80’s. The first one had literally a spring and was not very pleasant to use but this girl had to do with it. Since then Epilady has come up with more comfortable versions and this one is a breeze to use! If you are a first timer it might get some use to it especially if you have been shaving your legs for years since your hair are probably growing back thicker with shaving.Today I only need to use the Epilady every 2 weeks. I play tennis and always in my short tennis skirts so NO HAIR is my moto!

Not as good as the 4. Seems like the sides are thicker, so it doesn’t get everything, and it is too fast, misses some, and breaks some instead of grabbing at the roots. Hair grows back more quickly

This is a totally new thing to me.. bikini area?
I purchased this and am a bit older and know very little about what people do to maintain their bikini area..this was not something you heard about 50 years ago. I read the directions many times, wondered if I should have bought some kind of shaver instead, which I did try that once years ago and the itching was incredible!Knowing this was tweezers I was nervous, but tried to convince myself, I have my eyebrows threaded, how much worse could it be. I felt like I had to wait almost a week or longer to have the privacy and time to myself to try this and was offered help by a family member. In the interim as I tend to have a good deal of anxiety I lost the directions on the information packet! With help I used this a couple days ago and was quite surprised that the pain was definitely tolerable, (nothing like I expected) and no soreness after ..I did apply some aloe vera gel to my bikini area.I called the company and spoke with a gentleman, who surprisingly made me feel comfortable discussing the issue ( I’m very old school) and he was so kind and offered to send me a manual I could download and print on my computer, which was absolutely the perfect thing I needed and enclosed a short text if I needed anything to feel free to contact the company.So my review is a 2 part review! I was quite surprised and felt very comfortable after using it for the first time. The product was easy to use and so much more gentle for me than I possibly imagined. The design makes it very comfortable to hold in your hand to use, and I felt it was very well made, it exceeded my expectations..I had thought about getting a shaver instead, but the one experience I had with the electric shaver left my bikini area very uncomfortable, itchy beyond belief! I definitely would recommend this product to others!The 2nd part of my review is to tell you of what I thought could be a very embarrassing experience, contacting the company directly and speaking to a gentleman about having lost the directions. This person was so kind, he handled the situation so professionally, and actually made me feel comfortable talking with him and offered to send me an email with a download attached so I could download the manual which was exactly what I needed and was handled so quickly and efficiently making things so simple.I would definitely say the customer service was better than I could possibly imagine, and would send thanks out to the company for having such compassionate, knowledgeable customer service available to work with me. The kindness I was shown was appreciated so very much!
