Meet Maria: She embodies the soul of Framar, and still provides the strong foundation for the company today. For the first 20 years, she was a one-woman show, running everything from production and sales, to packing each order by hand. Some 35 years after taking a leap of faith and creating this company, Maria is still at the helm today, serving as company President and remaining intricately involved in all things Framar.

How did we get our start?

Maria created Framar out of the back of her husband Frank’s salon in 1986, becoming the first in Canada to create foil made specifically for hair stylists.

Why do we love what we do?

With every #framar post we see, our Framar family grows. Together, we are creating this amazing global network of people who love hair just as much as we do, supporting each other through innovation, creativity and community.
