Meet Maria: She embodies the soul of Framar, and still provides the strong foundation for the company today. For the first 20 years, she was a one-woman show, running everything from production and sales, to packing each order by hand. Some 35 years after taking a leap of faith and creating this company, Maria is still at the helm today, serving as company President and remaining intricately involved in all things Framar.
How did we get our start?
Maria created Framar out of the back of her husband Frank’s salon in 1986, becoming the first in Canada to create foil made specifically for hair stylists.

A great little tool for pricy brushes
This is a great little tool. I have my Mason Pearson brushes, and I have misplaced the cleaning comb that comes with them. They are pricy brushes, so I was nervous about using this tool. But it was gentle on my brushes including my Aveda wooden paddle brush and detangler brush. I am very pleased with it.

Tried this on three different brushes and worked on all in them but, the metal side was the only side that worked and after awhile got a bit broken but you still could use it and it gets a decent amount of your hair out at a time.
