Normally I use a brush to apply my foundation, but decided to try these Green Tea Beauty Sponges, Plant-based, Dye-free, Latex-free by Bumfuzz.They arrive individually boxed, are odorless and very soft. I immediately set about to apply my cushion foundation with one of these sponges, and it seemed to do a good job. Some sponges I’ve used seem to just push the product around, without actually “leaving” it anywhere, but these sponges definitely distribute the foundation onto my skin evenly.After applying foundation I always check in a magnifying mirror, and when I looked at how well these sponges worked, I have to say that I was disappointed. The sponges spread the product around on the skin nicely but they do not help my foundation to fill in pores or tiny impressions. Instead the sponge seemed to allow the foundation to highlight my pores, rather than camouflage them.While I can appreciate that these beauty blenders may be healthy to use and are less problematic for the environment, they just don’t do as good of a job as my trusty brush. Currently these beauty sponges are selling at $22 for the three of them. I don’t doubt that they are more expensive to manufacture so the price doesn’t seem too far off, they just don’t work all that well for me.

I use this every day for my makeup!! It works well damp or dry, is easy to clean, and applies foundation and concealer smoothly. I like that you get three individually-boxed sponges, that way you could give them as gifts if you wanted to. Would make a great stocking stuffer! I know you are supposed to replace them every so often, but I have been using one for much longer than I probably should 😅 and it is holding up great!
