I got this to replace my amethyst gua shu tool after I dropped and cracked it. This is a decent, entry level gua shu tool. The material is xiuyan jade, which isn’t actually jade but is a type of serpentine. It doesn’t stay cool like real jade, so if you are looking for that coolness, this won’t fit your needs. I liked the feel of the amethyst better, but material is a personal preference. I’m really happy with the size and shape. Of this over my last one. At first I thought it was small, but it’s perfect. The stone feels good in my hand and is a perfect shape for my jawline. This was $5 at the time of purchase, and I think that’s a fair deal.

This gua sha is quite a bit thinner than some others but I am finding that this shape really works well for my face (by thin I mean that the piece is thin and doesn’t have any rounding or volume like some others do). It is really good for scraping and massaging the whole front of the face and neck. Decent for the jawline as well. Maybe the thinness makes it easier to hold and maneuver too. I didn’t observe any defects or chipping/scratching on the product.The tin is alright but a bag might be better because I worry about the gua sha rattling around in transit and getting chipped or something.

I’ve done gua sha off and on for a few years now and have tried several different stone and non-stone tools. This is a decent starter stone, especially considering the ~$9 price point.This tool is real stone, though I doubt it’s genuine jade for the price. It has a non-polished surface but does not feel rough or uncomfortable to use.This stone is much lighter and smaller than most of the others I’ve used, but that’s more a personal preference. It may be more suitable for smaller hands.All in all, this is a good starter Gua Sha stone for a reasonable price.

i like that there is a tin case for this gua sha tool. the stone is smooth and good finish for the tool. i’m not sure about the material but it does feel like jade. great tool to do the massage and more effective if you use the gua sha tool for more focal point for massage.

This is just a piece of jade stone that one would use to rub out pressure points and areas of tension on the body and face.I got it for my girlfriend when she mentioned that she wanted one. She had a jade stone roller before and then lost it so I figured this would make a good replacement.As soon as she had it in her hand she immediately started rubbing it on her cheeks and doing repetitive motions with it, all while claiming she was “detoxifying” or something like that? I’m not too sure, I can’t exactly remember. I’m not very knowledgeable on the subject but I know it’s very popular.Overall I would rate this 5 stars. It was exactly what it claimed to be and my girlfriend was very happy with it. I would highly recommend!
