I’ve used this clay twice so far and like it quite well. It seems of good quality and does dry in about ten minutes when you apply a thin layer, as it tells you to do (unlike the first time I used it, where I think I glopped on a bit too much). It doesn’t smell like much, just the smell I’m used to sensing with clay masks.How effective is it to clear pores? Well, It seemed to slightly help two really clogged pores on my skin, they seem a bit lighter than they were before. Not an amazing result but I like to think it did something. It feels nice on my skin as well and when applied gives my skin a bit of a sort of pleasant, interesting burning sensation. The first time I used it, I think that I was afraid that it was irritating my skin, but it didn’t, when I rinse it off, my skin is not irritated at all, if any thing, it is calmer and really does seem ‘soothed’.Overall, it is quite a nice clay mask.

The Perfect Pore Cleanser
An extremely good quality clay mask that gently and safely, though effectively, cleans out your pores for a much healthier complexion. Especially good for those who tend to suffer from excess sebum production, as well as larger pore size. The texture of this clay is of a much higher quality than many others on the market. It doesn’t get all dry and cakey on the face while sitting on your skin. Instead, it’s actually rather smooth and creamy. That alone makes it much easier and cleaner to use. It’s very clean and natural and should be safe and fine for most with more sensitive and problematic skin. Especially helpful for those with an oilier complexion. No odd or funky smells during use, though you might pick up just a tad of a natural clay scent.Though I have mature combination skin, which makes this a bit much to use over my entire face, I find this ideal for me to use on a regular basis on my nose. Also on the occasion breakout spots. Does a great job at cleaning out pores of excess sebum, dead skin cells, makeup, dirt and other debris that can clog up your pores. Does not dry out the skin, though it can be somewhat drying for those with much drier skin. Of course, that can easily be corrected afterwards by following up with your favorite moisturizing products. It will leave your skin looking and feeling softer and smoother. Works well with other skincare products. Suitable for both men and women alike, and good for all adult age ranges, from teens to seniors, with it being especially helpful for those on the younger side of life. Because I can trust this to clear out my pores without disrupting them, I find that the somewhat higher price of $47 (today’s price) for a 4.2 ounce jar to be a fair trade which ultimately makes this a good value for my money.

From someone with very sensitive skin – usable but with caution and it works
This product contains Bentonite and Kaolin clays, Titanium dioxide and Phenoxyethanol which are typically not good for those with sensitive skin so I was cautious while using and the area of use. Being someone with very sensitive skin in specific areas I was cautious on where I applied the mask which worked great for me. Most mask go on very very heavy and I felt this was very controllable whether you wanted a lighter application in certain areas but heavy in others. I chose to not apply in the areas I knew I was extremely sensitive and a light coat in the areas I did apply to which worked great for me as I had no outbreak at all and it did appear to shrink my pores in those areas where applied. With applying light coats of the mask, I feel the 4.2 fl oz. will last quite a while. Speaking to the value of the product – this is definitely one of those products you would request as a gift or shop for sales as it is a bit on the pricey side.

Die Tonerde-Maske von Kiehls schlägt mit 42€ für 125ml zu Buche, ein stattlicher Preis für eine Gesichtsmaske! Allerdings findenich es absolut begrüßenswert, dass man hier eine Darreichung im Tiegel anbietet und von Einzel-Sachets absieht!Meist enthalten solche Einzel-Sachets Produkt für zwei Anwendungen und kosten im Drogeriemarkt um die 1€, also pro Anwendung ca. 50ct. Wenn man die Kiehls-Maske umrechnen würde, müsste man also etwa damit ca. 85x auskommen bzw. sie anwenden können, um das preislich vergleichen zu können. Allerdings sind in den Sachets meist 2x5ml enthalten, also 10ml, der Tiegel enthält 125ml, was dann 12-13 Anwendungen entspräche – und dann sieht es im Vergleich preislich schon wieder ganz anders aus…).Egal, man kann sich das durchrechnen, ob es sich preislich lohnt oder ob es das wert ist, allerdings erhält man hier auch ein Markenprodukt mit schöner Zusammensetzung.Die Maske an sich lässt sich einfach entnehmen und z.B. mit einem Pinsel oder den Fingern gut auftragen. Die Masse ist gräulich und trocknet auf dem Gesicht etwas an. Nach dem Abwaschen ist die Haut mattiert, eben und glatt. Meine eher trockene Mischhaut spannt dann und benötigt eine Pflege. Meine Poren sind geklärt und feiner, kleine Pickel heilen schneller ab.Insgesamt finde ich die Maske wirklich angenehm,ich nutze sie derzeit zweimal wöchentlich und trage auch gerne eine kleine Menge auf Pickel oder Unreinheiten über Nacht auf, diese sind dann am Morgen meist abgeholt oder sogar verschwunden!
