When I Used This Foot Cream on My Hands I Learned Why It’s an Instant Gamechanger
OK – I know that sounds weird. But as a homemaker and pet parent, I’m constantly washing hands and washing other things with my hands so it’s actually way more of a test of a creme’s ability to smooth and protect dry, rough skin. I’ll talk about what it does for feet, too.I’ve actually always hated lotions and creams as I have an aversion to anything that feels greasy on my skin. But my hands would get SO dry and rough during the midwest winters I had no choice. I used so many different hand cremes that claimed 48-hour moisture, but after I washed my hands a few times I was back to square one with dry, rough skin.I decided to try the O’Keefe’s foot creme on my hands before trying yet another hand cream. It’s a thick creme and takes a bit of time to rub in completely. The difference is that O’Keefe’s deposits a microlayer of something that seals in the moisture and makes hands super-smooth. This was noticeable after a single use. It’s definitely not a greasy feeling – almost like a super fine layer of wax – in a good way. My husband said my touch felt like someone else’s hands. My hands have never been this soft or smooth. And it doesn’t wash off after a few hand-washings. I’ve been using it once daily at bedtime and it holds up to all of my hand washing, dish washing and everything I use my hands for. I missed a night due to some crazy events and the next day my hands were still in much better shape than before I started using the lotion but I could feel the sealing layer just starting to wear off.As far as my feet, I made them part of my new daily moisturizing routine too. It is a foot creme after all. My feet are softer and smoother than they’ve ever been. No cracks on my heels and no deep skin flakes on my toes or the balls of my feet that used to get torn off by carpet to the point that they required bandaging. Make sure to rub it in completely and let it dry before you put socks on or that smoothing microlayer will seal sock fuzz to your skin that will take more work than usual to remove.My husband has eczema and gets dry patches on his legs. This cream also works better on those dry patches than anything else he has tried. O’Keefe’s has no fragrance and good for sensitive skin. I haven’t tried their hand creme or body lotion but I have tried their lip moisture stick and it works on the same principle of long-lasting, sealed in moisture. I would definitely try more of their products since both of these products have been exceptional.
