Minus 1/2 star because it only comes with 4 blocks of wax and it takes 9 blocks to fill to max line.Minus 1/2 star because there is no way to tell when it’s at the proper safe temperature to submerge an appendage into the wax without using a physical thermometer.On the other hand there is plenty of room (length and depth) for dipping comfortably. It does melt wax fairly quick when set to max temperature.

This has been a saving grace for my poor skin this winter! It’s easy to use and Mel’s the wax to a nice temperature/ it’s not scalding or like warm. The wax melts to a soft smooth consistency and its way to use and clean – it does need a lot of wax! I used a silicone insert in this that I didn’t use for my air dryer and it worked well / easy clean up! Overall it’s great but you’ll need more wax!!

This Whostomy paraffin wax warmer is definitely an upgrade from my last one. It holds 4000mL of wax, which is double the capacity of many models, including my previous one. It’s definitely not a basic model. The inner tub is longer too, which makes it more comfortable for people with larger feet. It’s 12.5 inches long and can fit up to a men’s size 11 (or women’s size 16.5) according to my calculations. It takes quite a while for the wax to melt, so it’s important to plan ahead. I appreciate the automatic shut-off after 12 hours in case I forget about it while it is heating up. I love that it comes with a plastic grid to protect from touching the bottom. My last machine didn’t have that safety feature. The warmer includes 100 plastic liners each for hands and feet, plus thermal mitts and booties. It also comes with six bricks of wax, but you need to buy more right away. It takes 4.4 pounds of wax just to reach the minimum fill line, but only 2 pounds 10 ounces of wax is provided. The control panel is easy to use with only 3 buttons: power, +, and -. The temperature can be set anywhere from 95 to 167 degrees. I use the highest heat setting of 167 degrees to melt the wax, but it’s way too hot for dipping. Around 127 degrees works better for dipping. It still feels very hot at first, but it’s manageable. Once there’s a layer of wax on your hands or feet, the following dips feel much more comfortable. After dipping, I put on the plastic liners and thermal covers, then just relax while the treatment does its job. Once cooled, the wax peels off in one piece that looks like a cast, which is neat to see. My feet are a bit red and slightly swollen afterward, but that’s normal for me with heat. My skin felt noticeably softer, especially after following up with a deep conditioning hand and foot treatment. Since I use this just for myself, I reuse the wax. There’s no need to throw it out unless you’re sharing the machine with someone else. I’m really happy with this warmer. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys pampering themselves, or to those with arthritis or Raynaud’s who could benefit from the heat therapy. The current price of $49.73 is an absolute bargain for a paraffin wax warmer of this size.

I just have a brand I buy in bulk and prefer.But this machine is large enough to make it much more functional than smaller sized machines for all sizes of hands and feet.The wax melts didn’t melt completely “even” but once I broke them up some it was a non issue.The best thing is this set comes with EVERYTHING you need to get started and the included mittens, booties, hand and feet liners are quality made.The plastic grate inserts into bottom to keep hands and feet from direct contact with heating plate.If you’re wanting to use for dipping feet and hands, use all melts for a deeper dip.Hands only and you don’t need all 6.Full load of melts (what I used) took about an hour and half to fully melt, stirring and using the included tool to break and mix it around.Once you’ve got it melted be sure to turn down to the safe dipping temp.When ready, clean hands and dip quickly. Allow to dry or until shine dulls. Dip again 3 or 4 times. Slip hands or feet into plastic liner and then the mitt.Relax and let it do its magic for the next 15 to 20 minutes.Once you’ve removed the wax, massage the oils into your hands and or feet.This is definitely a quality machine for the full set of extras and wax- it’s a great value.
