Can I pee while wearing a menstrual cup?

Yes! The cup sits in the vaginal canal, separate from the urethra, so urination is unaffected. If you feel pressure, adjust the cup slightly lower for comfort. You can also rotate it to find the best position without pressing on the bladder.

How do I remove a menstrual cup easily?

Relax, pinch the base to release suction, and gently pull it out. Rocking side to side or squatting can help. Removing it in the shower or with slightly bent knees makes it smoother. Take deep breaths and stay calm to ease the process.

What is the best menstrual cup for a low cervix?

A smaller or softer cup is ideal for a low cervix. Our S & L pack includes both sizes for a secure and comfortable fit. A shorter cup design ensures easy removal, preventing discomfort while still providing excellent leak protection.

Can I wear a menstrual cup while swimming or exercising?

Absolutely! The leak-proof seal keeps it secure during swimming, yoga, running, and workouts. It moves with your body, preventing leaks and discomfort. Stay active with confidence, whether you’re in the gym, pool, or on the go.

How do I clean and store my menstrual cup?

Rinse with warm water, use Shordy Cup Wash for a pH-balanced clean, and sterilize by boiling for 3-5 minutes. Store in a breathable pouch to maintain freshness. Avoid airtight containers to allow proper airflow and prevent odor buildup.

    Perfect
I lost the last menstrual cup I bought a few years ago, so I knew I had to order one really quickly. I just bought this one. I bought the pink ones, and they came in perfect condition with a hard plastic box carrying both of them inside. It’s very good for the price. I personally use a large cup because I have a heavier flow, and it works perfectly. It’s very comfortable and easy to put in and take out. I personally use the punch-down fold to insert my cup, and the cup isn’t too hard, so it’s not difficult to fold.

    Great quality.
Love that it brings two in the package. I got a Large and a small one. Super comfortable and easy to take out. 100% recommend. I use to get mine from Walmart and would pay $30 for only one cup which is a lot, I’m glad I was able to find two for a cheaper price.

Great once you get used to it
I decided to switch from tampons to the cup after hearing a lot of good things about it. I did a lot of research! I absolutely love it. It took a lot of trial and error but around month four or five it became easier. I’ve only experienced one time when it leaked and that’s because I was still learning lol I didn’t unfold it completely and the suction didn’t occur. Lesson learned… It does get a little tricky at the end of my cycle when things slow down and when I’m only spitting, I usually use a light tampon or two until the spotting stops. For some reason, towards the end the cup gets harder to twist and create that suction and it gets painful sometimes but it does cut down on SO many tampons which saves money, the cups lasts a LOT longer between changes and now that I know how it works with my body, I never worry about leakage when it’s in. I will never go back to using only tampons. I have a light to medium flow and I can usually get away with changing it twice a day. I really try to avoid changing it in public unless I have a private bathroom because it can get messy but like I said, totally worth it. Highly recommend! Just give yourself some time to learn how to use it with your body and be patient.

    Good starter cup
I got the set with different sizes because I had no idea what I needed. These are good starter cups. Immediately it was clear small worked and regular wouldn’t at all. The silicone is a little firm but not too bad. I feel some pressure on my bladder from it but it’s not too distracting. The stem is a little too firm for my taste. It can be felt in some positions. The suction is also really strong on the cup. Might be good in some instances but it also hurts when removing sometimes.I ended up using my feedback on this cup to choose my next, more expensive cup which fits even better. If you don’t know where to begin, these are nice and affordable!

I’m never going back to regular feminine products
I’d heard about menstrual cups and I was intrigued by something that is reusable which could save money. I wasn’t sure, so I purchased this set because it was inexpensive compared to some other ones and comes with 2 different sizes since I didn’t know which would work best for me and I wasn’t sure it was something I’d like.Well, after getting to use them for a whole cycle now, I have to say I will never, ever go back to anything else. There is a learning curve to using a cup, but once I got it down (which honestly only took about two days) I was good to go! I have had absolutely NO LEAKS and have not used any kid of backup. These cups, and yes I use both (the smaller one the first and last day or so and the larger one when things are a little heavier). They are very comfortable, I literally cannot feel them at all. They are easy to take care of, especially when using the Shordy Cup Wash as well. But the thing I like about these most of all is throughout that time of the month, I feel cleaner, almost like I’m not even on my period. They even come with a nice little case to store them in when not in use that can easily be put in a purse if you need them on the go.If you’re not sure about menstrual cups, try these ones. For the price point, if they’re not for you it’s not a waste of money. And if they are for you this set of 2 costs what I would have spent for one months worth of disposable products.

After 1 year of use, these are my fave
I love the hard case that came with these in 2021, so convenient, it doesn’t get a bunch of purse lint inside like the cloth bags do.{I DO NOT love the case that came with these when I ordered my second set, in 2022. You can see them both in my photos. The older one (the one with a heart molded into the lid) has ridges in the floor. The newer one is slightly bigger, smooth floor, and very hard for me to pry open without breaking a nail.}I found the firmness of these cups to be just right – some others were less firm which makes them fail to pop open after insertion, others were so firm they refuse to bend. With the Shordy they open when they should and they’ll bend when you need to get them back out.I found it helpful to have the 2 sizes available, for when the cervix has either dropped or not, at different phases in your cycle. The taller one is a little too tall for me at times. I find their capacities to be similar enough that using the larger one does NOT extend how long I can wait before emptying. If I had to choose just one to take with me to a deserted island I’d stick with the smaller one.I’m SHOCKED to see some reviewers mention odor issues. I have had ZERO odors or discoloration after 1 year of heavy use. And I have found that “my” odor has improved a lot since quitting tampons. The manufacturers all say not to use scented antibacterial soaps but I do it at every trip to the bathroom and so far the cups have held up just fine. Then I boil them on the stove at the end of each cycle. This is so much cheaper than tampons, I don’t mind replacing these every couple years if they do happen to give out.If you’re getting yeast infections: it’s not your cup, it’s how you’re sanitizing it (or not).

These menstrual cups are comfortable; I can move around and sleep without feeling them much. The material used is soft to the touch yet still somewhat firm, so it does hold its shape when placed correctly. I find the large size is too large for me, but at the same time, the smaller cup is a hit or miss, depending on whether it’s inserted correctly. I have had some leaks, but luckily I was home. It’s nice that they provide two different sizes for the price point compared to other brands I’ve seen that only give you one cup. This is my first time with menstrual cups, so I can’t compare it to another, but so far, this one seems okay only when placed correctly! That might take a little practice! Removing it can be a little painful due to the suction, but once you get the hang of it, it’s not that bad. I will see after another use if I really like it or not, but for now, it’s just okay, as it does sometimes leak pretty badly if the seal is not tight when inserted. I would recommend wearing a liner when out and about, just in case!

I bought these as replacements for a lost diva cup, and they work just the same. I appreciate the pulling stem being solid instead of hollow so it doesn’t get as gross as a diva cup, and the opaque dark green colour prevents staining. I am a small person and I personally find the large size comfortable and the best for a heavy flow.

Had been using the moon up for years, but since Brexit made it so expensive to import, I tried the Shordy and find it better, more comfortable, than the Mooncup!

Best menstrual cups I’ve used! Super super comfortable, flexible (easy to insert) and I love the super soft tip that makes removal easier. Just as a heads up to first time menstrual cup users, this cup has a very very strong seal (suction power). This is great because I’ve had no leaks whatsoever, but if you’re not experienced in breaking the seal and taking it out it might be difficult for you. Some tips: do NOT just try to pull it straight out, this will be incredibly uncomfortable (and at times, dangerous). Try to wedge one or two fingers along the side and scoop, or come hither motion along the side until you feel the seal pop. Once the seal is popped you can pull a bit at the bottom tab to get it close, and then pinch the cup near the top to pull the rest out. This minimizes any mess from accidentally dumping the contents as you pull it out. If the cup is too deep or feels out of reach, try pushing while you break the seal. This should put it in a more accessible position.Don’t be afraid to try these cups out!! Insertion and removal is a learning curve, but once you figure it out it’s super easy and takes no time at all. They are far far superior to tampons IMO, you never have to worry about leaking or changing every 1-2 hours if you have a heavier flow. Good luck!
