I absolutely love the Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil! It gives my hair a beautiful, glossy shine without feeling greasy or heavy. Why did you pick this product vs others?:Just the best oil around! The smell, the texture, the consistency, divine! I love it. My daughter loves it. My mom loves it. We are addicted! It is pricey, but I guess this is a ‘get what you pay for’ product. Long-lasting smell and hydration. It doesn’t leave the skin tight and dehydrated. An overall great product.

Good for brunettes
The smell is AMAZING, however if you have blonde hair – know that it does cause a bit of yellowness. It does last for quite a long time and has a lot of value for the money. My hair was definitely shinier, softer & less frizzy immediately after use. I didn’t notice any excessive grease, but I think overall this product is better for the brunette queens.

Good for coarse thick curly hair and heat
For when I need a heavier weighted serum oil and it works well with heat tools. I like this and of course it smells great! I have thick coarse high porosity 3b hair. It’s great for humidity fighting or when may hair is feeling super dry or frizzy it really calms it down. I do use it sparingly though mainly on the ends and mid-lengths…but not because of the weight…I wish it wasn’t yellow. I have silver/black/Grey long hair with the lightest part on the front and so you have to take great care that colored products don’t absorb and yellow the hair or scorch. Another very popular brand I use is more like a liquid oil but has the same challenge. My middle ground and preference is a clear one that also smells very nice.

Smells devine but doesn’t nourish or moisturize hair, just sort of sits on top. Better use to hold hair down rather than strengthen and protect it. Really tacky so it’s difficult to run through hair.

Will purchase again and again
Love this hair oil! Use it at least once a week and it smells and feels great. For me if I do use it with a leave in conditioner my hair does get greasier faster so I don’t use both on days I’m using the oil.
